EGGS!!

Dyeing Easter eggs. Uncle Kaulana, Grandpa, Hani-girl & Jillian. We made Lasagna for dinner and then had fun dyeing eggs.

Carter had a great time dropping the eggs in the dye.

Oh, and then sucking the vinegar and dye off of them. GROSS, I know!!!!!

Hard at work!

The kids hid eggs as we finished dyeing them. Luckily they put them all in one spot so they were easy to find. Jillian got most of them when they finially decided it was time to find them, and then she managed to drop them all one by one!

Thank goodness the weather was nice enough to allow all the mess to stay in the back yard. That made it a lot more fun because I wasn't worried about spills!

Easter Fun

We had a great time on Saturday hunting eggs and having Brunch at Lisa's house. We had great food and good company. Brett and Gaby, Chris and Missy, and families came along with us and of course lisa's family was there. We want to be sure to we still see each other a lot even though Mom & Dad are gone on their mission. Carter had a great time finding eggs and is still very excited about it now looking at this picture. He is standing behind me on the chair saying "Baby find egg"!!

Jill loved it too!!

Headed up the driveway to find any eggs that happened to go unseen!!

All the cousins and their spoils.

Enjoying the sunshine!

I turned on the sprinklers to water our lawn the other day and the kids were so excited they started stripping to go run through them. I got Jill a swimsuit and we were in business. I decided this was a perfect opportunity to do something fun and different so I broke out the fudge popcicles. Boy they were yummy!!! My favorite and the kids liked them too. I normally try to keep them pretty clean and smelling good. A bath in the morning, after being in a wet diaper all night, a bath in the evening, after Carter smears dinner in his hair, and any number of baths needed in between for playing in the mud, shampooing with lunch etc... So I try to let them get really messy sometimes.

This was definitely one of those times!!! I just broke out the hose, rinsed them down with the freezing water and took them in for a nice warm bath. They loved it all!!

Penny Pack Park

We walked to Penny Pack Park, a huge wilderness park, by Conan & Sierra's apartment. We fed the ducks and the hissing geese, luckily they only hissed and didn't try to attack!
Come and get it!! Carter thought he wanted to pet all the geese until they got a little close and hissed at him, then he quickly changed his mind. I think they were upset with him for eating each piece of bread we gave him to throw to them, and throwing rocks to them instead.

We pulled the kids to the park in the wagon and then of course ended up pulling an empty wagon as everyone insisted on walking. We managed to get them all in it for a picture though. Jillian, Tennyson, and Carter had a great time playing together. Well, Jillian & Carter loved playing with Tennyson and he like them ok when they weren't attacking him. He is much more timid and mild than they are and even though he out weighs both of them and is much taller than Carter, he would flinch when Carter got too close to him in fear of an attack!!!

Mount Vernon

Our first day in DC we went to see george Washington's house at Mount Vernon. It was really fun to get to go through it, at least it was for those of us who made it through:). Christian stayed out with Carter because Christian has been there before and Carter didn't really seem very anxious to be quiet, sit still and listen. This is the front of the house.

This is the view of the Potomic river from the back porch. The house has an amazing view.

This is the back of the house. The back porch is lined with chairs for people (who don't have kids) to sit and enjoy the beauty of the river!

Fairy Jilly

We went to Disneyland with Grandma Parke and some of her family that was in town visiting. We all had a great time and they even paid for Jillian to have her face painted, which Jillian absolutly loved!! She didn't want to wash it off.
