Body Art

The kids had a great time painting outside today. It is getting pretty warm and they are spending a good part of each day out back in their swimsuits playing, eating Popsicles and occasionally getting in our kid pool. Today we added in painting and they loved it. I loved that I could just hose them and the yard down after so I didn't have to worry about the mess. The papers got a little paint but I think most of it ended up on Carter. They got really excited when I suggested they paint each other. The chasing and chanting "I'm gonna paint you" began and the race to get as much paint as possible on your sibling had them both laughing. I finally called it a day when Carter started painting everything else like the posts, the house the door. That guy can't be trusted with anything!

Celebrating Carter's Birthday!!!

For Carter's birthday we had a big family BBQ at our house. We had most of my family there and Christian's Mom & Dad. We had tons of food and lots of good company. The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins, getting filthy in the yard and skipping nap time. Carter couldn't even put down his sticks long enough for me to bandage his wounded knee. This wound came only after he fell about 10 times. As we were bandaging it we realized the problem was his shoes on the wrong feet, I probably would have been tripping all over too! We changed his shoes and that took care of the problem.

Enjoying his Chocolate cupcake! It is nice for them to get good and dirty once in a while without Mom having to worry about it. The much needed bath that evening took care of it all and they all had such a great time!

We thought it was so cute that Matthew screamed when he had to leave Carter, it turned out it was the toy he was missing not his cousin!

Shaleen, Abi & baby Nathan came down for a visit. We had a great time going to the park, reading stories and eating snacks. The kids have a lot of fun together most of the time. Some of the low points were Nathan giving Abi a black eye by throwing a rock at her & Carter terrorizing Nathan and laughing while sitting on Nathan's head (Nathan didn't think it was a bit funny!!). But it was mostly fun!
