No one should sit in timeout alone!

Jill & Carter have been writing their letters so Jill can be ready for Kindergarten in the fall. Since Carter wants to do everything like Jillian, I gave him the book while Jill did something else. Instead of the scribbles I expected to find, he traced the letters. I was so impressed! Here are some samples of the letters he did.

Jillian was on the naughty step for not listening the other day and the next thing I knew there were two friends sharing her punishment with her. I know it didn't end up being much of a punishment but since I had told her she needed to sit in timeout on the way home and completely forgotten by the time we got there, she had put herself in timeout. I thought her honesty deserved a lesser punishment.

More Fun

This is what we did instead of nap time. Carter started building a track and when Jillian saw what he was doing she joined right in. It went all the way from Carter's room to my room.
The little girls started ballet today. They go to their friends house right across the street from Shaleen's and we took her little brother over to Shaleen's. So while the girls danced, the boys ate cereal and pears. The girls were really cute!
Grandma & pa Parke came to visit us this weekend. We went over to the casino and swam in the spa (you can see how red everyone is but the pool was cold). Then we had dinner. As soon as we entered the casino Jillian spotted all the slot machines and very excitedly said "ooh!! Can we play games?" So we had a talk about gambling and how the Prophet has told us not to gamble. It is funny what new things this move has introduced for us to discuss. At least she didn't ask about the half naked cocktail waitresses yet:).

Life in Vegas

We have been enjoying our new life. Jillian goes to gymnastics with her cousin Abi but first they had to get a little rock band in.

Carter surprises me everyday with the things he can do. He found his little Einsteins puzzle, dumped it out on the table and put the whole thing together by himself. I was so impressed!! He was too as you can tell by the last picture.

There are a couple of things we are still adjusting to. The static, Jill's hair is always all over, and the dry skin. Both kids are getting really dry and Jillian poor feet look terrible. We started a lotion rub down today. But we love the parks and all the beautiful walking trails and family areas.

Leo 10

As I have said before, Carter is a Little Einsteins fanatic. He thinks that he is Leo and Jillian is June. He doesn't go around calling himself Leo all the time anymore but when he plays he is still Leo. Well, yesterday we were discussing birthdays and I said that Jillian's was in February and that his was June 10th. His reply was "No Jilly's is June, mine is Leo 10". No matter what I say he still insists that his birthday is Leo 10. I thought it was pretty funny! The kid is consistent.

Moving

Last Saturday we packed up our old house, with the help of a lot of friends and the missionaries, and started our trip up to Vegas. I flew my neice Paige in from BYU Idaho to help with the move and to do some of the driving for me.

Later that evening this is what we were doing! We made it to my sister Shaleen's house, which is only a few minutes from our place. My Neices Emmy & Elise, adn my Nephew Mitchy took good care of the kids while the rest of us moved everything into our house.

Having fun at Aunt Shaleen's house. Paige painted the girls nails!
So here it is, our new place. These were taken the next day as we were still trying to get everything unpacked. There are lots of boxes in the pictures but it gives you all a general idea of where we are. It is 3 bedrooms so Jill & Carter each have their own room. The living areas are not huge but there are lots of big closets which I love!! Christian and I each have our own walk in closet in our room plus a linen closet. We have a good sized laundry room up by the bedrooms which I also love. We have a master bath, the kids have a bathroom and we ave a 1/2 bath down stairs and they are all really good sized. We have a 2 car garage which was essential for storage since we are storing as much of our stuff as we can so it will be all ready to go when we buy a house and move in which we hope to do within 6 months.
