Meeting people

Bennett was happy to meet lots of family & everyone was so excited to see him. Jillian came to visit him at the hospital and was very taken with him until she remembered her cousins were at home having fun without her. Her visit was short but sweet. Carter refused to leave the cousins at all and considering his temperamental nature of late we decided he could meet his brother when we got home. He was very gentle & sweet with Bennett & continues to be. Aunt Lisa came to save the day. She stayed with me at the hospital over night so Christian could come be with Carter & Jillian. She did all the baby work that night so I could rest as much as possible. Grandma & Grandpa Underwood, Elise, Emily & Mitchy entertained the kids once they got back from Aunt Shaleen's where they stayed Wednesday night. We are all doing well and are so grateful for the wonderful help. We can't wait to see Gma & Pa Parke tomorrow!!!

I will write up more details later but for now will just say Bennett is such a sweet little guy. He eats & sleeps like a pro & we have yet to hear him cry which is amazing. He makes lots of noises & will fuss a little but never any crying, not at diaper changing time, bath time or any other uncomfortable time. We are sure loving this sweet little guy.

A few things

We haven't been up to too much lately given the fact that any standing or sitting makes my feet swell & my back ache. We did get out for a bit last Saturday though. Carter got to attend a princess party:). His friend Ella from church really wanted him to come. Her mom asked me if I thought he would mind being the only boy. Since he is fine doing things like that with Jilly & likes Ella & birthday cake I thought he wouldn't care at all. I was right. When we went to pick him up they said he had a great time & was a really good listener. They played the princess & the pea & pin the kiss on the frog. Carter's kiss (lip cutout) was right on. Do you think the frog will change into a prince? He loved the sword they got for him & wore the kings crown all party. Jill was a little put out about Carter going to a princess party instead of her but a milk shake really helped her feel better:).

Jillian ready for crazy hair day at school. I had it all sticking out but she preferred a little more tame look so I pinned the buns down. She looked really cute. Carter wanted to have crazy hair too but since his hair only does one thing it was impossible! It was also a non-uniform day hence the flower skirt which I made by the way. Simple and not fancy but I am impressed with myself.

And thanks to Mom & Dad Parke for the early birthday present (2 months). It was installed about an hour ago, my new security screen. I am not as worried about the security as I am anxious for a nice breeze through the house. It would have been great Mon. or Tues. but since it is down to 60 today with a very cold breeze I am leaving the front door closed. Also, since the kids can open the front door & frequently do without my knowing or being there, this makes me feel better. One more obstacle in their way & I don't think Carter can reach the lock yet.
Last but definitely not least, for me anyway, tomorrow is induction day!! I am very ready to have this little guy out & hopefully start feeling normal again soon.

Easter

We had a fun Easter. The kids were so excited and very happy with their treats (thank you Gma & Pa Parke for the gifts). As it was General Conference Sunday we watched that on the computer. We also got a visit from our California friends the Bystroms who were in town for the weekend. Jillian & Carter were very happy to see them & play with Spencer & Xander. Later in the afternoon we went over to have dinner at Shaleen's house, which was also very exciting for the kids. We had a good dinner, played a fun game & ran around crazy (I think you can probably guess who did what:). It was a busy but fun day and Jillian was not thrilled to go back to school this morning.
