California

We drove down to California the day after school got out.  We spent 2 days with Lisa & Mark where the kids played with the dogs, ground wheat (Carter's personal favorite) fed the chickens & collected eggs, & helped Uncle Mark in the yard by picking snails off the plants.  We also celebrated Carter's birthday on the 10th.



We drove out to stay with Gma & Pa Parke next.  We spent a day at Cabrillo beach & saw the friendship bell. 

We went to Disneyland & timed it just right.  Pass holders were blocked out & summer crowds hadn't started yet.  We had short lines & lots of fun.  Carter& Jillian both loved thunder mountain.  Carter also had a good time on Splash mountain & even exclaimed "sweet biscuits that was awesome"!  Benny got a car for each hand & was happy as could be.  Tom Sawyer's Island was also a hit.

We also spent a day at the LA zoo.  It was a busy & very fun trip!!!

 

Carter's end of the year

Carter had a great year.  He earned a medal, sticker & bouncy ball for completing all math & journal assignments.  He loves school & does well in it.  He had a fun preschool graduation & a great last soccer game of the season.  He scored 5 goals despite sitting out the 1st part of the game due to an unfortunate sunscreen in the eyes incident.  We didn't think he would even play, then he went out & surprised us all with a great game.
