Jillian was sad to move from California to Vegas so in a moment of weakness Christian promised her she could get a cat once we were settled here. Well we are finally pretty settled and Jillian had not forgotten the promise so we went looking for a cat to adopt. We were not even allowed to look at the kittens because they don't adopt them out to family's with small children. After 2 hours of hanging out in a little room with about 20 different cats we decided on this one. Layla is our new cat. She was the most patient with the kids and liked lots of attention.
So far she has turned out to be a really good choice. She is really sweet, spends most of the time resting in the laundry room, and hasn't made a noise. She lets the kids pick her up and carry her around and Jill spends time hanging out with her in the laundry room. She also seems to like Christian and enjoyed snuggling up to him in a chair last night.

It is worth a try:). This cat is so mellow I definitely recommend adopting and going to spend time in a small room with a lot of different cats with your kids. Some that seemed pretty nice eventually scratched, hissed or tried to bite someone. She was about the only cat that didn't and she still doesn't She is funny cause she loves to roll on her back and have her tummy scratched like a dog.
Christian said yes to a cat??? What a push over!!! Ha ha
Wow, how did Jilly ever manage to break down Christian to the point he'd let her get a cat!!! She must be a Daddy's girl! I'm glad you were able to find such a sweet friendly cat for the kiddos. She is quite beautiful.
I think my girls ask us for either a cat or a dog just about once a week! That is so cool that you let your kids have one :)
